This is the most attractive USB PIC Programmer that has great features in a compact design. It comes with a 40-pin ZIF (zero insertion force) socket, upgradeable firmware on PIC16F628 chip, ICSP (In Circuit Serial Programming), easy to use GUI software, and can program wide range of PICMicro microcontrollers.

This ICSP PIC programmer kit is connected to your PC using the USB port. It can also be used for ICSP programming via the supplied 5 wire cable. It makes use of the user interface software MicroPro.exe that has to be down loaded from the Internet. http://www.kitsrus.com/upuc.html. Although the kit is connected to the USB port, it still requires an additional 16Vdc / 500mA power supply.

Most components are already pre-soldered, but some thru-hole components should still be soldered onto the PCB.
